Title: Not good times
Category: Perhaps a bit sad
Blog Entry: I have a list as long as my arm of things not going so good right now.
My mother in law is still having issues with her health. Since the 27th with her operation to take cancer out of her body she has been layed up. For the first 10 or so days she was in the hospital having an awful time coping with the surgery and her mind snapped. Then they moved her to a rehab center where she was at till just the late begining of Feb.
Her cancer seems to have been removed but she is taking longer than expected to heal. Now she is in a third location at a Nursing home. She still needs to be looked at and they have physical therapists working with her to build back up her strength to be able to stand and walk again. She has had problems with her arthritus and has been having issues with trying to write.
But this week she's at least getting a little clearer in the mind and able to eat better on her own.
Work has been dropping and I'm actually starting to have problems getting some bills paid. But it looks like the only other tech that I work with is leaving so I've been told that my hours will start to go up. Which is great minus the fact that now I'll be working two peoples jobs now. But I can not wait to at least get paid again.
Our car had been acting up so last month took it in for maintaince. About $700 worth of work. Then this month took it in for the state inspection. They found something else that they didnt find LAST month and now another $600.
Sigh... Our roof and gutters are clogged and have been slowly leaking. Before the winter set in we had problems trying to get someone out here to look at it since we have old box gutters. When we did get someone out we were able to get a contract quote. Expensive. Thats all I'm going to say on that.
But this morning with the ice and the weird "bi Polar" weather we started to have water break through into our closet in the computer room and then it pooled into the living room. Raining down on my grand mothers roll top desk that was left to me. This is also the desk that I keep my ritual supplies and old family photos in. The print out of my grand mother got wet and the lamp from my other grandmother was getting the shade ruined.
I freaked. With the help of my wife we cleared out the desk and then I aranged a trof of foil to run the huge drops into a bucket. Then we went up stairs to clear out the closet.
Now I'm trying not to cry so much. Big "my life sucks" blog. But I'm trying not to sound like that. But just hoping that by typing this out I can see that most of this isnt that bad. Trying.
Trying.
