A quick little question that just jumped into my head. I'm flying out to Orlando this weekend for a week vacation and I was wondering if there is any craft or travel spells that would do well in an hotel like setting. Im not bringing any candels or any thing that would raise suspsion in a securety line but would normal meditations and what not work away from home? (This shows just still how new I am to this)

Course I'll be wearing my hecate necklace for my personal little reminder.

Just curious.

Of course, you do remember my friend that the Witch *is* the magic - Meaning, where ever you go, so to shall your magic. I do think that you can get a few candles at a local shop, or, do what I do - I bring a few of those little tap lights and use 4 of them in a circle to create an awesome effect - try it - you'll see what I mean - LOL

You were right. The magic is in us all. I ended up feeling this profoundly when I made it to the ocean with my mother over the vacation. We walked over this huge sand dune with cacti and strong stringy plants and suddenly as we steped off the wooden bridge the ocean screamed.

"I'm HERE!" Almost floored my mother. She shook her shoes off and waded out to the surf with a few tears in her eyes. My father was snapping photos and standing ankle deep in sand and surf as well. I stood on the last step and my breath was instantly taken away. Silly me worried that I would not be connected to the earth while away from home. Ffft!

My wife jumped down into the sand and started to gather all our things into a neat area just farenough away from the water edge and I couldn't allow myself to step foot on that beach with my rotten shoes on. I sat down and quickly pulled them off with my socks and slowly let the sand spill between my toes. Right then and there I grounded myself and quietly said a prayer of thanks.

Walking out into the water made me wish I had brought a pair of shorts to wear. I really didnt think I would have such a strong pull to be sumerged in the ocean! The elements were all there at one time! Wind, earth, fire, and of course water. I suddenly had an urge to sit on the beach and I made a quick three mound sculpture that the water quickly washed away and from that moment on I had a feeling of peace and connection that I had never felt before.

Of all the things we did that week on our vacation, Disney, Universal, Medievil Times. The visit to the ocean on that quiet little (little, huh. BIG beach) is still our favorite. I guess magic really is around us and is us no matter where we go. I learned a big lesson that day.

I had a friend of mine who did magic on the beach and she was rewarded with the sudden appearance of sand dollars who have little pentacle markings on them. They showed up by the thousands as the waves pulled them in. She gathered a couple of pales of them and then the waves took them all away. She had asked for a sign from the Goddess and the result was immediate and dramatic - She was left crying in joy on the beach. I have one of those special sand dollars in my home and it is a regular part of my ritual work.

The Goddess *is* real
